Stayed for two nights Oct 2023. I’m not one to leave reviews but I highly recommend!
Clean, new, modern and comfortable. Well appointed with a small pool and a very nice well equipped gym. Hot and diverse breakfast in a bright and well lit room. Decent coffee. Friendly staff. Located an easy walk to a plaza with an LCBO, Marshall’s, Costco, thrift store, nail salon etc.
loved this hotel. Kind, positive and energized staff. No one seemed complacent and frustrated with their job. It was so refreshing to meet people who treated guests with joy and respect. Very clean amenities and great hotel breakfast.
This was our 1st stay here and it was lovely. It appeared new to us so it was a surprise to learn that it was about 3 years old. It was very clean and the beds were definitely comfortable. The shower only stall was fine for us and nice amd bright. The breakfast included gluten free items, bonus! Staff were great. Only issue we had and maybe it's just us but the sliding bathroom door didn't have a way to lock it. This doesn't work for us as we travel with a special needs child and we would like this feature. Beautiful place 💖
Really good stay. I had a spacious king suite that was very comfortable.
If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that is east facing. My room faced HWY 416 and it was very noisy at night.
Other than that, no issues.....
This was easily the worst Hampton Inn that I have ever stayed in, and definitely not worth the extra few bucks for a higher quality hotel chain. I stay in hotels at every level from "Don't Bring a Blacklight" to "Don't Touch the Expensive Stuff You Can't Afford to Replace" depending on my travel plan. And while this hotel was not complete rubbish, and it did meet my minimum expectation of warm water and clean sheets, this review is solely based on the fact that it is branded as a higher quality chain hotel, and will be assessed as such.
I usually experience a check-in process to take approximately 5 minutes from the time I am addressed. There can be lines, and you cannot prevent that, but once I am past the next in line position, the process should be relatively quick and painless. Here on the other hand it was not. It took almost 30 minutes to complete the process, because the hotel had overbooked the room type I required.l and requested well in advance. After figuring out where to put me, they "upgraded" me into a King Suite. The only problem is that this was not an upgrade for me in any way. It was only worded this way to try and make me feel like I received some sort of enhanced value, and also to make themselves feel better about making the error in the first place. They can say that they gave me a more expensive room, but if it doesn't satisfy my needs, is it really any added value? I went from having 2 beds (which was the requirement) to having one bed and a pullout sofa, which was more comfortable as a couch than it was as a bed. The room was exactly the same in every other way. Not bigger, or finished any differently... exactly the same. I simply lost a bed for a couch...which not an upgrade when 2 beds was the single requirement.
The room itself was not all that impressive and nothing stood out as being above average, but that's fine, I was not expecting anything that the room itself didn't have (minus a bed). It was modern, but neutral and had the typical layout you see in every chain hotel across the country. Being a new hotel, I did expect that it would be in better condition though. It was tidy, but there were large stains on the carpet that had not been addressed, and there was some black mold/mildew building up in the corners of the shower. Which is probably due to the fact that there is zero ventilation in the bathroom, so airing out the humidity after a shower takes much longer than usual. There were no exhaust fans that came on with the lights, and no switches on the wall to turn on any form of exhaust. And there was zero airflow in or out of the small vent in the ceiling wherever that hole leads to. So either the fan is broken and doesn't turn on with the lights, or they just didn't install any exhaust fans in the bathroom of at least this room.
Besides the stained carpet and molding shower, the room was sufficient and had everything else needed. The fridge was small, but did what we needed it to do, and there was a decent supply of coffee and tea in the room for the morning.
The breakfast which other reviews praised was definitely not what I expected either. The hot food was cold, and the quality was lower than the cheapest buffet breakfast restaurant you could find...don't rely on this option for a good hot breakfast, unless you are happy with making a waffle in the provided waffle irons. The omelettes were rubbery disks of eggs folded in half with a skim of processed cheese spread in the middle, and the sausage didn't taste like it was made from meat. They were dry and chalky and if you told me they were plant-based, I would have understood why they tasted bland and dry. While the diced potatoes were basically a dish of mashed potatoes by the time everyone macerated them with the serving spoon.
The hotel itself doesn't feel brand new, but tired and starting to show wear which I cannot understand as the place is so new that it is in the place of a grassy field when looked at from Google Maps. The location is good, and the access and layout is fine, but those are things the staff cannot control.
Clean. Comfortable. Great staff
Great location!! Rooms are large and well appointed. Hotel is spotless, staff is very pleasant and informative. Great breakfast included.
I did not like the fact that housekeeping did not make over our room despite the fact we stayed Three nights. Very disappointing
